Yedenna

It is held that in the ancient days of humanity, the land of Yedenna was the original home of human kind. It was said to have been a land of glory, a true paradise without drought or blight, without famine or plague. Yet for some ancient sin committed long ago, the ancestors of Eynor were cast out and forced to march across a gleaming bridge through the endless darkness, to walk on rainbows for days on end. Eventually the exodus came to an end when they arrived in the wilderness somewhere in what would eventually become Vistilia.   As the expelled sons and daughters of Yedenna founded their Great Empire and expanded across the continent, they encountered humans already living there, having come to this new world some time earlier, though whether these peoples had departed Yedenna as settlers of choice, or as exiles by force, had apparently been lost to time.   As a place so important to human culture and history, it remains a powerful spiritual symbol for the peoples of Eynor. So far removed from living memory, it is unknown how much of the literature surrounding the land of Yedenna is factual and how much has been warped and distorted with time. Some scholars wonder how much of what is factual has remained factual over the hundreds of years since humanity's exile, or indeed whether it still exists or not. Some have begun to doubt that Yedenna ever existed at all. Other groups, such as the Yeddic Path, hold that Yedenna is not just humanity's birthplace, but is also their afterlife.
