Crimson Archipelago

The midnight archipelago is home to The Crimson Skulls, giant forts made of tropical and drift wood house many of the pirates and a giant hollow dome made of rock and stone, overgrown with vines, contains the greatest of The Crimson Skulls ships and their hoards of gold. The archipelago itself is multilayered, small sandy islands and shallow water lie at the bottom while tall spires rise up into the air, each like a little island in itself. Bigger rock formations rise out of the water overgrown with vivid mosses and vines.

Geography

The crimson archipelago is very topographically varied, tall spires rise off the ground with flat tops creating an area akin to a little world raised high into the sky. Large rock formations are spread across the area, some of them are hollow, some are porous and some are smooth. One such formation is a large hollow half-dome where some of the ships of The Crimson Skulls are docked. The water is mostly shallow with steep drop off's into the deeper ocean. The views from on top of the higher points in the archipelago can be quite beautiful and show the entire horizon of The Carili Sea.

Fauna & Flora

Many mosses and vines grow all across the rocks of the archipelago. On top of the flatter areas even grasses and flowers grow as well as the fews trees which grow on top of the rock formations. Colorful fish of every kind swim through the waters in massive school and pelicans fly through the area, taking refuge on the dry land. Whales and dolphins can also be spotted off the coast of the archipelago. All sorts of crabs scuttle across the sand and shallow water as well as sea turtles sunbathing on the shore.

Natural Resources

The archipelago is rich in exotic and possibly valuable fish all in the waters. The crabs can be large enough for a full meal and can be caught to make a nice profit. Shells and sea glass are littered all across the sand making for beautiful jewelry, they are also quite profitable. Of course the most morally questionable but undoubtably profitable boon of the archipelago is the turtles which come to rest on the shores. If you can get past the murdering an innocent turtle thing the shells can be sold for a lot of money.
