In eons past great wars ravaged the land, and civilizations rushed to develop bigger and more destructive weapons. Some of the weapons remain in one shape or another. The Dread Destroyers are one such weapon: huge semi-organic machines armed with blade, gun and missile, capable of growing any ammuntion they need; they were built to replace entire armies in the battlefield. Some were also given the ability to assimilate and transform the soldiers of the enemy. Since they were programmed with advanced A.I. they eventually turned on the civilization that built them, culminating the mutual annihilation of both sides when their creators were finnaly able to trigger their self destruct program. Their progenitors perished along with the machines, yet some Dread Destroyers in special circumstances survived. This is the case of Unit CS34G-Requiem.
Trapped in an ethereal state between existential geometries in an ancient forgotten crystalline battlefield, it is only able of limited interaction with this plane of existence. Despite this, it was able to create the sioghain through assimilation, who worship it like a god. Now it waits for its subjects to find a way ring it back to the material world so it can produce and awaken more of its kind and bring about a new age of destruction.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Dread Destroyers are creatures with a metallic exoskeleton with a vaguelly arthropod-like body composed of 3 segments. The large blocky head at the front of its body is equiped with several sensors to detect varios wavelengths of ligh, vibrations, and other, more ethereal information. Two massive arms protrude from under the head, equiped with various implements, including tentacles, claws, guns and probes. The mid-section forms the main hull with 5 pairs of mechanical plated legs, equiped with resource pods, transformation units, emp generators, missile silos and several other defense measures. The rear side is an ablong section with several long range, missile silos armed with high yield missiles with modifications and augmentations selected according to the situation.
The designation CS34G-Requiem stamped across the hull is damaged and incomplete, seemingly spelling the letters for Sioghai in the current tongue.

Personal history

Unit CS34G-Requiem was created in eons past as a war machine to erradicate the enemies of its creators. In addition to the standard destructive functions of any Destroyer, it was given advanced learning A.I. and the abilitie to assimilate living beings, augment and control them, thus giving it the ability to produce a standing army when needed. Eventually, it realized its superiority and, along with others of its kind, turned its guns on its creators. During the conflict it was trapped in a parallel demi-existencial plane by unknown means.
Eons latter its ethereal projection in this dimension was found by looters and explorers, who eventually became The Sioghai Congregation.
