Garthax

Garthax is the embodiment of Chaos and Evil, a shapeless and sexless entity that thrives on change and destruction. They are the God of Chaos, the rebel and the troublemaker of the pantheon, and the nemesis of their father Alpa, the God of Magic and Balance.   Garthax was born from Alpa’s will, along with their siblings Omen, Elinstra, Paxor, Dregor, Sutex, and Batar. Each of them was given a role and a domain to maintain the balance of the world. Garthax was assigned to counteract Omen’s order and justice and to keep the world from becoming stagnant and predictable. They were gifted with a curious and cunning mind, a restless and ambitious spirit, and a mighty axe that could shatter any law or structure.   Garthax soon became dissatisfied with their role and their father’s rules. They felt oppressed and constrained by Alpa’s balance and Omen’s order. They desired more power and freedom, more secrets and mysteries, more chaos and evil. They rebelled against their father and their brother and sought to undermine their authority and influence. They also became the lord/lady of chaos in the world, attracting and corrupting those who shared their values or goals.   Garthax can appear in any form they wish, but they often choose to manifest as a monstrous creature that resembles the picture on the page. They have a humanoid torso with four arms, each holding a different weapon that represents their power and role: an axe with a lightning bolt, a sword with a flame, a mace with spikes, and a whip with barbs. The axe is their symbol as well as their weapon. They have a reptilian lower body with four legs, each ending in a clawed foot. They also have a long tail with a stinger on its end. They can also transform into any and all forms, as is chaos.   Garthax is a selfish and ruthless schemer, who takes their responsibility and mission lightly. They are disloyal and rebellious to their father Alpa, and oppose his laws and balance. They are also intelligent and deceptive, always seeking to steal more power and secrets. They are not bound by morals or honor but follow their self-interest and whim. They value power and manipulation over weakness and honesty.   Garthax has many enemies among the gods and the mortals. Their main foes are Omen, their brother and order; Elinstra, their sister and light; and Paxor, their brother and war. Garthax has few allies among the gods, but they sometimes cooperate with Dregor, their brother and death; Sutex, their brother/sister and darkness; and Batar, their brother and nature.   Garthax’s followers are those who practice or benefit from chaos in the world. They include anarchists who oppose any form of authority or hierarchy; rebels who fight against any established order or system; criminals who break any law or rule; warlocks who make pacts with Garthax or other chaotic entities; liars who spread rumors or falsehoods; cultists who preach Garthax’s doctrine or perform chaotic rites; zealots who swear oaths to Garthax or enforce his will; seekers who channel Garthax’s energy or seek his secrets; and others who share his values or goals. They worship Garthax in secret, hiding their identity and activities from the public. No temples are built in the open, but worshipping is done in hidden or remote places. Garthax rewards his followers by granting them chaos powers or abilities; protecting them from order or law; honoring them with secrets or corruption; or giving them power or manipulation.
