Moons of Lamh: Etzula and Sleiph
Etzula and Sleiph, the moons of Lamh, can be seen in the sky from any of the floating extal, although Ostelan hasn't seen through the clouds to the moons for centuries, since the Uprising of Extalamh. The moons are a beautiful sight, orbiting at slightly different speeds to each other and providing a gentle amount of moonlight at nighttime.
It is believed that if you are born on a night with two full moons, you have the favour of both Selûne and Melora, and that you will grow to be a powerful cleric, imbued with the power of the ground and the stars. No one has been born on the day of a double full moon for centuries, and only three elves born on one of these days have survived. These elves are Devdan Xyrra Tannatar Balpeiros (he/him, high elf), Alea Sarlee (she/her, wood elf), and Rhys Zumnala (he/him, wood elf). It is rumoured that these three clerics still have the favour of both Selûne and Melora, and are connected to both gods on a deeper level than any other.
Geography
The moons circle Lamh, and cannot be seen by Ostelan due to the cloud covering below Extalamh. Etzula is white, while Sleiph has a gentle pink tone.
History
Etzula and Sleiph were created before Lamh was populated.
They are used to determine the dates of important rituals to Selûne: when both moons are new, the female clerics to Selûne perform celebratory rituals to show their love and devotion for the god, and to renew their pools of magical energy. These rituals also make them more receptive to visions, more intuitive, and gives them a special view on the world to increase their insight. In the mis following the rituals, many clerics of Selûne recieve special dreams and visions that they wouldn't normally expect.
