Flesheater Plague
The Flesheater Plague, also known as the Sharan Rot, originated from Sharan. This devastating illness was created by the lich Naadir as a weapon against the neighboring Falcon Empire.
Initially, the plague presents symptoms similar to a common illness - fatigue and fever. However, these mild signs quickly give way to a terrifying reality. The victims are plagued by intense pain as their skin begins to decay, revealing the raw flesh beneath. This decay spreads relentlessly, ravaging the body and draining the victim's strength and vitality.
Transmission of the Flesheater Plague occurs through direct contact with an infected person, interaction with contaminated objects, and contact with infected rodents. Notably, the undead creatures of Sharan also served as vectors, introducing an this threat to the battlegrounds.
In the early stages of the plague's appearance, treatment options were limited to divine healing by clerics and paladins. However, with time, effective alchemical solutions were discovered. Used in conjunction with divine magic, these treatments ultimately led to the plague's eradication.
Despite its eradication, the Flesheater Plague has left a lasting mark on its survivors, who often bear skin discoloration and experience chronic pain long after their recovery.
