Eshiren, the Waterblight (Esh-er-in)

Eshiren, an Aufalten, failed the oath of redemption and possesses the domain of nature. She chose the form of a Jellyfish when interacting with mortals, but when viewing their extensive corruption and waste (as well as their incapability of stopping themselves from poisoning nature), she abandoned the thought of mortal redemption. Sometime after she fell, she would grow into a corrupt form which even she is reviled by. As she should no longer have any elemental capacities, her essence of smoke, fire, and black poison comes from a non-Ohdaufeen source. Many believe her form to be a result of Ithitar interference which would fit strongly in line with the transformations Milin Orphi puts his Inutherin through.   The last sighting of Eshiren was by traders traveling across the Palm of Silse. Other notable sightings would be the Caripreet Sea and even in the fjords deep into Fjordstrond's territory.

Physical Description

Special abilities

She radiates an aura of filth and smog which kills sea dwellers, chokes land dwellers, and clogs waterways. Her filth is highly flammable but she cannot readily light it. Fire cannot harm her.   She can remove her own tendrils and regrow them. Removed tendrils can do her bidding but are not mentally independent.   Much like a squid, she can use her filth to escape hazards before temporarily returning to a water form. As she is Aufalten, she can not hold her invisible form for long, and holding her filth inside harms her.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Whether she still wishes to protect nature is unknown, but she quite clearly wishes for mortals that trek into the water to suffer.

Corrupted by Orphi

While there is no direct evidence to support this, many priests and worshippers believe that Eshiren's transformation was carried out by Milin Orphi's Rhythm and Vile
