Greylends

The Greylend Pact
After generations of diaspora, most orcs had no direction or community. Most had managed to escape the horrific marshes of Mot D'nir but were otherwise without agency until they began a great congregation within northern Eldurgrund. With little way to spread the word of their new homeland aside from traveling griots, it took decades to grow into a sufficient settlement.    Given most orcs toiled away as craftsmen for most of their lives, they lacked the resources or knowledge to grow a settlement from its roots. As outside lordships would near their territory at Orovical, the various Chieftains would encourage raidings to sustain their people, under the guise that they were merely defending their established land. While it may have been to defend their land at times, the orcs truly had no legal claim over Orovical and its surrounding villages. It wasn't until 20 years following The Silence that the Augury and Eldurgrund would officially recognize their territory under the Greylend Pact. With the ongoing raidings and territory disputes resolved, the orcs would begin engaging in trade with caravans and dwarf territories. As per the official pact, the territory around the Northlend and Starfall Seas would be deemed "the Greylends."

Notable Settlements

Az Athur

Az Athur is a fundamentally spiritual site for the orcs, as its the location where the Irz Ikar witches divine into the obscure history of their people. Along with plane-seeing and visions, these witches also use their acolytes to create machinations outside the imagination of most Augury scholars, all to please their biomechanist gods.    The settlement itself is built upon a promontory, making fishing the most viable form of subsistence, which is a task relegated to outsiders sent by Chieftains of other settlements. The architecture is mostly stone-based, aside from occasional metal contraptions.

Ock Ivaran

Ock Ivaran is a relatively docile settlement when it comes to outsiders. For example, the Talisman of the camp has established relations with Kaz Reliran and Árkastali, resulting in scorn from the Chieftain of Orovical. Should one visit this region, one can expect to see a high number of humans compared to other orcish settlements, along with a healthy dwarf population.

Orovical

Orovical is considered the capital of the Orcish people, both culturally and geographically. With great metal machinations assisting many parts of their life, the orcs and dwarves were able to put their skills into matrimony to create a wonder of the world (though many still disagree with that designation). Thanks to its substantial growth over time, most orcs around Trinen have made it a life goal to either homage to the settlements or permanently place roots there.
