The Architects' Web is a source of order, structure, and connection in the universe. The web holds together every plane, every planet, and every being; however, the one exception is Laminarum itself. As is commonly known in the land of Laminarum, the physical world that mortals inhabit is disconnected from the greater universe, due to Ornjack's greed. Thankfully, the magic of the web can still be tapped into, as everything in the mortal plane is still connected.
Ever since the Silence, the Web has become a common subject of debate, as tapping into its connection is believed to be the source of interplanar travel. Unfortunately, the Silence led to the complete closure of the mortal plane, sealing its gaps but also defending it from immortal invaders. Now, researchers work adamantly to understand how mortals in Laminarum can tap into the greater Web. This would allow us to travel to other planes, as well as meet more of Ornjack's kind.
Within the mortal plane itself, tapping into the Web does not alter the individual as the Waters of Taev might. One is simply manipulating an invisible fabric of the universe when they access this source of magic. It allows individuals to teleport, communicate telepathically, manipulate items telekinetically, or other similar feats.
