The Well of Heien is a well-known legend amongst scholars of the cosmos. Somewhere between the entropy of the Waters and the structure of the Web, lies the Well of Heien. The Well's location across the planes is unknown, as is its true nature, but it is known to be the source of divine power.
Like the Waters of Taev, the Well grants its powers through consumption, but the well has a grand benefit over the Waters: lack of corruption. Through unknown means, the Well is not a source of structure or destruction, but creation. The ancestors of modern gods are believed to have drunk from the well, granting them divine capabilities. Those capabilities then came to take shape in many ways, leading to a multitude of domains and the eventual concentration of creation in the form of life and planes.
But how does this apply to the mortals of Laminarum? Well, as the powers are divine in nature, the gods bestow mortals with divine capabilities. While the gods innately carry divine power from the Well, they merely grant an inkling of their power to mortals through faith. Both communal and personal faith increases the gods' access to the realm, making believers more capable the larger the base of worshippers becomes.
While no mortal has drunk of the Well's waters before, the results would be unimaginable. In fact, some theorize that drinking from the well would make an individual ascend to godhood. Thankfully, the Well's cosmic location is unknown, even to beings such as Milin Orphi, who have sought it for an eternity.
