The alliance between Epithet and Eldurgrund that saw the near total destruction of the Cult of Verivem.

After the Empyrean Cascade, the world came to know the names of several heavenly beings. One of these was Epithet, the Fleet. Sent down by the gods with a Domain of War and Oath of Vengeance, he took a keen interest in assisting Eldurgrund with the complete annihilation of the Cult of Verivem.   Epithet would first assist Eldurgrund during the cult's raid upon the city. After the conflict concluded and the cultists were pushed back, Epithet came to an arrangement where he would receive emergency power to control the city and its decisions while the original rulers would serve as a mere council to him. The government of the city likely agreed out of fear for the beast, as his reaction to rejection would be unpredictable.   Epithet proved to be a self serving ruler that reveled in the destruction of his enemies more than the justice it served. The Cult would be forced away from the origin of the crater left by Verivem's arrival, and a new fort would be erected nearby. Epithet would take a force from Eldergrund for himself and rule over this territory, awaiting for his domain to call upon him once more.   The cult survived, but their numbers were left in the dozens and they were forced to flee South West.
