The movement of people from Shellbay to the "more appealing" savagery of Astania as a result of cultural influence.

As time went on in Shellbay, politics became far more blatant and present in everyday life, and the development of Shellbay into a large city, the majesty of a potential central government began to wane in the general populace.   As life began to feel more calculated, stories would rapidly spread about the "warrior kings" of the Westlands. The idea of shedding nobility and modern life for a more natural and survivalist lifestyle became extremely appealing. As a result, many people set out West for Astania. Shellbay managed to send some spies in with this lot, but they never returned with much useful information. Astania accepted them with open arms, resulting in a massive growth of their population. Villages with turf housing began to increase, fighting against the cold. This exodus from Shellbay also resulted in record numbers of homeless children for some time.
