The Dragon Covens Emerge

The first appearance of dragonborn in Laminarum, as created by Ghattadon, the Gentle and Epithet, the Fleet in preparation for a coming war.

After the fall of Epithet and Ghattadon, they took on biological forms and became severed from the spiritual endowment of the gods. The two dragons, regardless of their fall, had very different perspectives and alignments regarding the world. Though he fell, Ghattadon still hoped to keep the world from finding tragedy and would do nothing to cause it. Epithet, on the other hand, was bred for destruction. Although he currently resided in a cell of frost, Epithet's Coven had existed in hiding.   The legends say that each aufalten, knowing about the presence of the other, birthed broods in the hundreds. Combining the figures of dragons and mankind, the creatures would simply be known as "dragonborn." These groups would eventually be forced into battle, causing a calamity amongst the newborn people.   While more aufalten would eventually give rise to more diverse dragonborn, the original covens would escape their heritage, climbing to the far reaches of Laminarum in hopes of living out their days in peace.
