The disappearance and presumed death of Ettaji, Gidofem of Bito Ri, as well as the crew that followed him.

After the Quai had subsequently grown in the islands off of Shellbay's shore, the people of Thiff decided it was time to travel the distance (the farthest real-world distance ever travelled within the Quai). The Shellbay Quai taked quite a long time to grow, likely because of the different terrain in the area, but it had reached a threshold worthy of travel. Word was sent between Thiff and Shellbay, and the humans prepared a plans for a feast for their future visitors.   Once the Gidofem's crew set out, they were expected to return to Thiff in 9 days. He, along with his crew, never returned. Their would be a subsequent year of mass confusion between the two groups, as the humans claimed that he had never arrived while the Tara-Jhen believed they captured him for nefarious purposes. Unknown to the Saltkrigere, an invasion crew would be sent via Quai to the island of Shellbay, but they never returned either.   As the Saltkrigere made no action against the Tara-Jhen, they began to believe the claims of ignorance. No individual would be sent between Shellbay and Mot D'nir in the future (though it was sometimes used as a form of execution). The reason for the disappearance of people over this travel is still unknown, as no one has ever returned to explain what happens.   Gidofem Ettaji would be replaced by a new Gidofem, who's name was lost to history (likely because he may have only governed Bito Ri, as was intended for the position, rather than overseeing all of Thiff).
