The arrival of several Snow-Rock ships filled with women, children, servants, and other laypersons.
After the death of Korahaman, the Saltkrigere began to breakdown the corpse with the intention of keeping the shell. The job was only half done when their settlers arrived, leaving the demolition and resources destruction by the beast uncorrected upon their arrival. This would lead to short term worries of famine and put Kanel Logratte's leadership capability up to question, though he vehemently defended himself against his council. Few individuals would actually starve, typically servants. However, there was no shortage of questions about the battle fought between the creature and the small fleet. Legends grew from this, most of which untrue, not that the original story was insubstantial itself. The Saltkrigere seemed to have settled on the idea that Korahaman was a large beast, with the Kaban being its offspring, each to grow to the same size one day. The settlement saw everyone being put to work, including the women and children which had expected everything to be complete already and to be waited on hand and foot. The entire event was an embarrassment for Kanel, which led him to return to the Isles and rule from a distance (at his councils recommendation). He would promote a military general of the Saltkrigere to be "his own countenance" at the new lands. The promotion went to Hamish Troutlung (later called Hamish the Negotiator).
