Personal history

Ramas was raised in the slums of Southmarch by his human mother. He never knew his father, and his mother refused to speak of him. During his youth he became a pickpocket in the local thieves guild, the Whisperers. Many years later, after a heist gone wrong, he found himself imprisoned and awaiting trial. He was approached by a mysterious merchant, who offered him a deal - the merchant would arrange Ramas's release, and in exchange Ramas would steal a black glass orb from a local collector. Never one too concerned with potential consequences, Ramas agreed. The next day, another local thief was arrested and imprisoned for Ramas's failed crime. Slightly intimidated by this display of political power, Ramas stole the orb and delivered it to the merchant's designated contact. Ramas was concerned that, as a potential loose end, his life may be in danger. He immediately boarded the next vessel out of Southmarch, resolving to seek his fortune on the other side of the Sundered Sea.
