The Guardians of Thundertree To the Rulers of the Verani Republic: It has been many moons since we left your city, upon releasing you from the grip of the Mindflayers, we were unfortunately hastened from your newly independent civilization, and we regret this very much. However, our duty took us south, across the Sea of Glass and to the fabled settlement of Iskaleth. Your people kindly provided us food and supplies for this incursion, without which, failure would have been a guarantee. For this, you have our eternal gratitude and thanks. It is of this incursion that we are writing today. Whilst in Iskaleth, it was found that a nefarious group called the Nethronris, who were partially responsible for the enslavement of your people, are attempting to destroy the very fabric of our world. By destroying the Veil which protects us from the incursion of outer beings, the Nethronris wish to bring back the Primordials into our plain of existence. In order to prevent this, we need to unite under a common cause. We have discovered that the Nethronris are now operating in the Northwest, as such they threaten the security and stability of both Neverwinter and our refugee community of Thundertree. To combat this, we are working tirelessly to strengthen Thundertree as well as provide security to the neighboring areas. However we cannot do this alone. Thundertree is first and foremost a new settlement for the refugees of the attack on Neverwinter. Any provision of goods, equipment, coin etc. will be greatly appreciated. However what we need more than anything is a means to secure our own borders. I have spent most of my life fighting the Verani, unaware of your own enslavement, so I have firsthand knowledge of how well trained and experienced your forces are. Any provision of forces will have a massive affect on our situation. Any aid you can provide, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. I shall also be writing to the Draconic community in Iskaleth and the Forest Gnomes asking the same.
