FEROM DISASTER 0 ADE

The Ferom disaster was the biggest natural disaster in recorded history. When Mt. Damavald, a supervolcano that slept for ages erupted, it's ash clouds obscured the sun for years, and caused a massive crop failure around the entire world. This horrible event created a chain of events that brought to the end of numerous civilizations all throughout the world. It's estimated that over 50 millions people died directly and indirectly due to this catastrophy, which would have been almost 1/4 of the entire population of the human species.
The explosion of Mt.Damavald and the subsequent Eruption that had a volume over 2500 km2 caused the end of one era of humanity, bringing civilization to it's knees like never seen before in history. The Catastrophy is usually known as the Ferom Disaster, due to Ferom being the ruler of the area closest to the Banavald mountain chain. Under his rule, following the explosion, a mass migration started south-eastwards that created the modern ethnic groups of the Norstan area as we now know them. The eruption of this supervolcano destroyed many of the well-built agricultural-based societies in the world. The Lucian Kingdom in the Northern Peninsula, the Flusstorm Empire in Ostalpen, the Ues states in the Eastern Continent and the post-Sertian states in Mashriquia.
Technology and overall development of humanity was also brought back. Many ideals of communal societies and shared goods were destroyed due to the extremely autocratic societies that were built as a way to maintain order following the collapse of nearby societies or of their own. Even more were the technological advancements lost due to this disaster, as we know by the fact that for over 500 years after the Disaster almost all societies had forgotten the previous medical and irrigation advancements of their ancestors.
