Merisotan states after Arsadian domination and Aftermath of the Ferom Disaster

While the North was conquered by the Arsadian Republic in 24 BCE, the southern part of the Merisotan Empire remained indepedent due to the Merisotans destroying the roads to the South to avoid having to fight the Arsadian Army. For centuries, the two parts of the Empire developed differently, as the North was influenced by the republican values brought by Arsadian domination, while the South kept the monarchist tradition going, with the descendants of Petro the Conqueror still on the throne.
By 200 ADE, over 220 years after the Arsadian Conquest and with the disastrous effects of the Ferom disaster as a distant memory, the concept of a united Merisotan-Mesedian state became more of a myth than a possible reality.
Both North and South had decreased populations after the "Ferom Disaster" (https://www.worldanvil.com/w/lands-of-honor-italian-p26c/h/1df24f03-fd6d-41cc-baee-7ad9ab08b942) that displaced many Merisotan peoples and decreased the population from 1,872,918 to a shocking 287,612.   The Rump state of Merisota had more population than the North due to it housing all major Merisotan cities, which was one of the elements that kept the South from falling into the hands of the Southern Raiders. It did however lose more people than the North. Mesed Region before disaster: 667,889 Merisotan South before disaster: 1,002,998   Mesed Region after disaster: 102,010 Merisotan RS. after disaster: 185,602   And so, by 300 ADE, in the south laid the Kingdom of Merisota, while in the North the Republic of Mesed.
