Wadi-Izgha Union
Historical Nation / Country
Introduction
The Wadi-Izgha Union was a Norlandic state created in 1225 located in Southern Norland, in the present day region of Zarrīnābād. It was ruled since its establishment by the highly wealthy Wadi family. The Wadi dynasty was a great patron of warrior culture, which in turn, gave the military partial power over the government.Creation
In 1225 Zalafi Wadi IV, the Wadi king of that time, offered the Izghan government full control of their eastern lands, which Izgha'a government had ruled for the past few decades. Zalafi had also just succeeded his brother as the new King weeks before the offer. However, the distrust of the new King disrupted the offer and was reduced to a small buffer state on the southern lands of Wadi. Two months after the initial offer, the Wadi lands on the southwestern areas was then formed as a stabilizing buffer state in the interest of both. After Zalafi IV gained the reputation he needed to fulfill the offer, the territory was bestowed to the Izghan government. With the new authority, the areas achieved an economic and cultural peak: Zalafi IV's successor, Zalafi V, had the city of Mazek rebuilt according to plans designed by his planners. After nearly 6 years after the first offer, Izgha officially took control of all Wadi lands. The ruling king of Wadi, Zalafi V, was given a choice to either give up his authority or to form a union with the Izghan monarch and keep the authority over his lands. He chose the latter. The union was not acknowledged by his predecessor Zalafi IV, but he soon passed away in his bed with unknown causes.Dissolution
The process of dissolution began in 1330 when the Wadi territories on the southern province were given partial autonomy by the ruling Izghan King with a Wadic appointed as the new governor of the province. This was further extended under the Treaty of Mazek, which the Wadic King of that time, Mahka II, had no choice but to accept after the declining economy of it's country and in Izgha. The treaty provided for the Wadic workers and farmers who previously lost a considerable amount of land to the Izghans.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
