Dryads & Oryads

Respectively the female and male counterparts of the same kind of fey spirit, dryads and oryads are often perceived or even function as if they were separate races. Not only because of how a fey’s spirit is volatile in nature, being able to manifest and sometimes even transform into different feerica races, it also because both dryads and oryads as strongly linked to different aspects of nature, trees and the woods for dryads, animals and raw energy for oryads. They are fierce protectors of the beings or area they are bound to and they wrath is terrifying and all beings that can should run from it.
Both resemble elves with slightly shorter heights and also longer ears, but their skin can be green or with flowery tones such as yellow, rose and lilac for dryads and are usually brown or bronze, but can also be of a vivid white highlighted by purple contours, like lightning made into skin for oryads. Their skin color also can change between seasons or even moods, though there’s no regularity to this as fars as any sage can tell. Dryads have varying plant features, such as leafy/flowery hair, smooth woody nails, fruit sweet colored lips, while oryads have animalistic features such as antlers like a stag’s or antelope’s, deer’s nose or clove hoofed feet and ankles.
Both have innate magical powers, including charm, but the signature magic of the dryads is to teleport through trees, while oryads can control animals by projecting their minds into them and shoot lighting out of their horns.
