Diversity and adaptability are the ideas most closely associated to humans in Lantartia. To the extent that the word “humane”, when used by other races, means an extreme behavior or doing something wildly unpredictable. History has shown that the greatest and most glorious acts of redemption or heroism as well as the ones of most heinous cruelty or blind ambition are more likely to come from humans than any other race. The staunchest allies one will ever have or the vilest betrayers, the one pattern of humanity is that no one expect what they’ll do. That’s not saying that humans and their communities are fickle, indecisive or necessarily inconsistent.
As such, humans come in more forms than any other race. Be it in terms of ethnicities, societal organization, philosophies and cultures and even physical details. They are known for an eagerness to explore, to better themselves and for pursuing ambitions, under the painful awareness of their relatively shorter lifespans than most other races.
In the sea of human ethnical groups, which are sure to vary wildly, scholars did record the history and typical appearances of the predominant ones: Nordram, mostly found on the nomad tribes and the Kingdom of Norgrund in the freezing plains of Lanturia; Rudrooks, supposedly the oldest and more magically talented lineage; Leppos, known the be originated from nomad groups from the Graysh Dust desert and the Nolcar, isolationists and xenophobics, from which little is known other than the existence of the dreaded empire they’ve built and the rumors where their exclusive pitch black palms come from.
Hair color is one of the most variable trait in different and to some extent within human groups. Overall variation of color or tone, includes: bright colors like yellow as flower petals, vivid blue, red, lilac, silvery, golden, silky black, among various others. Skin color also varies greatly, in broad spectrums ranging from paler to darker tones and more striking types, like bronze colored, or even grayish, pinkish, greenish and bluish light tones have been written or heard about in certain corners of the world.
Humans are one of the races most open to progress and thus, to change themselves, and to have an easier time interacting and incorporating traits of other races or cultures. They reproduce in one of the fastest rates and also exhibit uncanny fertility by mixing with other races.
