Laiknil (Elves)

The archetypical elf, slender, poised and agile. Skilled in swords and bows, wise and bearers of ancient blood with innate magical talents. That’s what they’d typically explain about themselves, which fuels the perceived stereotype of them as a detached or arrogant folk. Laiknil are particularly intelligent and apt in the use of magic, particularly of the arcane type, as the main lens through which they interpret the world.
They care deeply for beauty and the natural world. They seem knowledge about all things within their fields of interest and also value companionship. Laiknil defend balance in all things, as long as it includes magic. They prefer to live in higher mana places and are biased against psychism. The main cultures in which these elves participate regard such arts as irrelevant at best and corrupted and fearful practices at worst.
According to a very ancient and debated scroll, the original elven soul was a being of unmatchable wisdom, ferocious grace and mystical powers. Elfëan was their name and it’s hinted that by the mastery of conjugated psychic (Las Myrna) and magic (Lai Myrna) energies they conquered the planes on a few universes and even gods succumbed to or feared them. At some point their souls were fractured and they split into separate psychic or magical entities. Laiknil claim that they descended from the elfëans and that they were betrayed thanks to lassatian corruption.
