Ta'el Faeries
Arborent wisdom speaks of these tiny fey races coming about the world shortly after themselves and how they fit together while bringing nature in its fullest of expressions. The Ta’el are primordial fey spirits that represented and fostered the new life and energies that flourished in Lantartia on the dawn of the Second Eon.
Ta’el means "The Seedlings", in reference to how plants, animals and water would come about after they have stablished themselves in a given area. It also refers to the rumors that they could and possibly can create other fey races and come from them or even from the Arborents.
The Ta’el fey encompass five different races of tiny fairies: Naifirs, Ni’irvars, Nersylphs, Quicklings and Leaflings.
Other than being tiny flying fey, with insectoid wings and surrounded by a glowing colorful bright light Naifirs and Ni’irvars do not have much in common. Ni’irvars are mostly seen as glowing orbs of (ghostly) white, silvery, golden, red or pink, with their two dragonfly wings partially sticking out of the luminous sphere. Naifirs shine more vivant yellow, blue, lilac, green or orange and sport wasp wings. Both can also dim or put away such light, revealing their humanoid shaped bodies. Ni’irvars prefer to live in dense crystal or geode formations that also have lower or no mana levels, as they are highly psychic talented. Naifirs prefer to live in places of dense vegetation that also have high mana levels that benefit their arcane aptitude.
One of the most distinctive features of Nersylphs’ bodies are the gills and crustacean like fins along their limbs and two pairs of antennae like whiskers stemming from about their shoulders blades. The first two are up to two times longer than the others.
By being naturally curious and adept to a pranking culture, it’s common that nersylphs express a desire to travel and explore. These fey typically associate themselves with nymphs, nelglorians, tortles and other beings that share an affinity to water.
Quicklings are prone to show off, though they rarely wait for a reply as speeding away, around or to places and people is actually their preferred way to interact with the world. They have an elongated head, pointy very long ears and light blue, green, pink or dark brown or purple skin tones.
Leaflings are masters of stealth as they can swiftly and effortlessly transform into rolling leaves and other natural forms. They have leafy hair, in the colors of autumn that can change according to their mood or desires, discreet, slightly protruding fangs, clawed fingers and a bee like tail ending in a stinger. Rumor said that they taught the first druids how to shapeshift.
