Unaturna, the Mother
Progenitor of Dragons
As told by the mythic tale The Great Serpent's Eggs, Unaturna was born from the final egg of the Great Serpent. Unaturna is worshiped among Dragon-kind as the Mother of Mothers and the founder of their matriarchal society.
Summary
In the primordial ages of the world, the proto-dragon Unaturna was born as the final child of the Great Serpent and was purported as the most beautiful being ever to exist. Her beauty would attract the attention of many suitors, but Unaturna only ever reciprocated the feelings towards Elum, the Lord of Stars. Together the two would bear the first of many children, Vevndrvve the First Dragon.
When her eldest daughter Vevndrvve grew too old for her body to continue she asked her mother where her soul would go after her death, as no other dragon had yet to perish. Unaturna looked to her lover Elum and both agreed that Unaturna would follow with Vevndrvve to wherever she would go. Together the two would form a pathway for all dragons to cross as they reach the end of their life. Unaturna continues to greet and welcome her progeny into eternity in the Dragon's dead world while Elum watches above them in life.
