2.2 Of Life and Death - Among the Trees

General Summary

After getting a bit more sleep after fighting the shambling mound the party continued onward to Ismira. Without even realizing they found their way into the city, as the architecture of the city is built into still living trees. After a bit of investigation the party decided to seek out Sir Razzle Dazzle, the Grand Arcanist, in hopes that he'd know more about their tattoos.

Basilisk Tracks

Shortly after resuming their journey the party found some tracks on the ground that appeared no more than a day old. They were able to identify them as basilisk tracks, as well as that there were multiple of the. Not only that but along the tracks there was also a trail of dried basilisk blood.

Ismira

As they continued on in Du Weldenvarden the party noticed the trees had begun to take on an odd quality, particularly that their shapes weren't quite natural. As they delved further into the forest they realized that they had found themselves facing still living trees that had been transformed into homes. They would later learn that all of Ismira was built through this method.

The Whistling Windpipe

The inn that the party decided to stay at was the Whistling Windpipe, after renting three rooms, Dart and Gorky in one, Azarik and Rexis in the second, and Paathio alone in the third, they decided to ask the barkeep if he knew anything about moving tattoos. He didn't, but he did however point them in the direction of someone who might be able to helo them, the fairy Lord Razzle Dazzle, current Grand Arcanist of Ismira. Before going to visit him however the party decided to split up and do their own thing for a bit. Paathio visited a Temple of Bahamut, Dart (unsuccessfully) went in search of new equipment, Azarik watched a heavy metal band play at the bar before exploring the city, Rexis drank a bit before deciding to began to learn the flute, and Gorky slept the whole time.
