Far beneath the mountain Star Mynd lies a large underground lake. The lake was long ago found by the dwarfen explores from Brightshadow, a city upon the second highest peek of Star Mynd. When they found the lake they were astonished by its beauty. From the ceiling hung stalactites glimmering with crystals. In the middle of the lake a large island rose up, and upon it the dwarfes saw their future home within their minds. They gave the lake the name Starmere and the city Faturham. The dwarfes gathered those of their clans ready to move down into the deep cave and begun to construction of a new city. As time went by Futurham was created and the forming members became its nobility. But the names Starmere and Futurham was soon lost, as the name Deepmere, brought by the clans people who made the city, became more popular.
By the year 1500 BP the city of Deepmere was a beautiful city, sprawling with beauty and riches. The island that once was empty were now filled to the brim with high marble buildings inlayed with precious metals. To feed and build the city resources were needed, which were gathered in nearby cave systems. With time the nearby caves were not enough and large sprawling mines were dug out in hunt for stones, metals and food. As the city grew larger some started to live in these mines and many old mines now served as boroughs to Deepmere. Ruling over the city was King Edwin Merebringer, a descendant to Burt Merebringer, one of the founding members of the city. His rule was one of mutual acceptance between his royal family and the other noble families, which all were similar in power and influence.
