Creation of the Academy

When the Magehood of Kiandu made peace with the Empire of Derodi they was tired of war and moved to the big coastal city Euria that had managed to stay out of the war due to the blockade the Magehood had created between them and the other factions. The wise mages was respected throughout the city and not many decades from that they had gained much influence over the city. With time the mages became a part of the city council and some centruaries after that all of the council members was mages. They knew there was great arcane potential that was lost due to that the poor had no chance to studie. By the year of 300 BP they started a smaller arcane school in the city. After three decades it was an important part of the city and Euria became even further arcane advanced than the other human factions. During this time 3 new families had join the noble magic houses, which the famlies of the Magehood of Kiandu now was called. It was the families Akleja, Illidan, Catcrown. Akleja and Illidan was elfen families that had seeked themself to this new arcane metropolis they had heard of. Catcrown was a family that just recently had greatly growth in arcane users and power. Soon humans with affinity for the arcane came traveling from all around the human lands to learn more and a bigger school was needed. 203 BP the Academy of Magic was begun to be built and a century later it was done. It had taken long time but the whole building was now covered in magic runes to protect it, among other things. What was not known by others was that the Illidan family did not only come to Euria for their interest in magic but because of a vision one of their most respected mages had. He had been told by an ancient creature to protect the world. The creature was one of the nine gods of Eudoria. What he was ordered to protect was one of the Stone Tablets that held the soul of the gods and kept the Saviour out of the world Lavera. The tablet lied in a cave beneath Euria and when the Academy was built Illidan made sure that it was built on top of the cave and that the only way down was thru the Academy. Many of the runes was created just to hide the Tablet from the Church and to create a magic barrier that would protect the Academy, and with that the Tablet, from magical attacks. The wisest and strongest of each of the four elements was then selected as a principal to the Academy. The four principles guided the school and with their teachers help many new students came. As a part in their training the students fought magical creatures and monsters in the lands around Euria to cleanse the lands so farmers could create new farms and so villagers did not have to worry about dying each time they left their homes. The Illidan family entrusted the secret of the tablet to the 4 principles and since that time only the four principals know of the stone tablet. They did not know about the other 8 tablets as the vision the Illidan member had got did not include the other stone tablets.
