For nearly 30 years, Katalina Talid operated long-ranged patrols, supevised rogue trader fleets and cells of Inquisitorial agents into the abyss of the former realm of her family. Fragmentary reports talk about monstrous and ungodly beings the size of living worlds, psychic creatures capable of submitting entire star system to their will, cities of towers made of Dark Glass, statues with glowing eyes and armies on the march that never arrive to their destination, while warp roads change and breaks without warning, making most of this region impossible to navigate. At some point, Katalina Talid petitionned the positionning of Deathwatch Watch Fortresses along the border of the Korinthian Nebulae and in the surrounding worlds still intact to ensure that nothing will get out of this stellar nightmare. What was found was never made public, but entire libraries of the Ordo Hereticus are filled with exploratory reports and the noble sacrifices of her agents and family assets in the course of their duty.
