Raids sur Leororam

Military action

Leororam, à titre de monde mineur, a été négligé par les régiments localement déployés de l'Astra Militarum et des patrouilles de la Navis Imperialis suite à une réduction de la dîme décidée par le Lord Sub-Sector Surepar. Cela a résulté en de nombreux raids de Drukhari à la surface de la planète, vidant villages et populations dans le processus.   Des interventions personnelles par le Lord Sub-Sector Surepar Ruan Partheo et le capitaine mercenaire Ernestor Grace ont fourni des renforts, tenant les xénos en échec jusqu'à l'intervention du chapitre des Stone Warden.

The war lasted barely three months from the moment Baron Ruan Partheo deployed his forces to the moment the xenos were vanquished.   At first, call for help arrived at Jenkin's Last Hope and Sakarstine Prima after a dozen settlements had been emptied of their population.     Baron Ruan Partheo immediately organised transport for three Sakarsteen Musketeers divisions with the help of Chartist Captain Fraal Goodwill and his Star Galleon. He was later joined by a small but elite units commanded by mercenary captain Ernestor Grace.   While reinforcements were arriving from the border of the Halo stars in the form of Duke Sacha Corrino and his battleship the Liberator Regis, Baron Partheo emptied village after village to escort the population into a greater urban center while local militias and his tank regiments positionned themselves in ambush. When the xenos came, the assault was so devastating that they had to flee the area.   However, Drukhari airborn assaults later destroyed most of the Partheo's armoured convoy in direction to the provincial capital of Derarem Leli, using the cover of a violent snowstorm to eradicate in fast assaults every Leman Russes, AT-83 and AT-70 tanks the Musketeers had mustered to this area.   While this was a very hard hit, the rest of Partheo's armoured column reached the provincial city where the Xenos attacked in a new raid three weeks later, intent on proving the Mon-Kheigh that they wouldn't be able to hold against their superiority.   What they didn't know, however, was that Ernestor's elite henchmen and himself had been able to capture and torture many xenos officers during the snow storm and had knowledge of the nature of the attack.   A violent counter attack happened inside the canyon near the city of Derarem Leli and the xenos were pushed back. While they were regrouping, the skies burned as drop pods and thunderhawk gunships dropped from orbit and crushed the xenos once and for all.   While much of the xenos forces were able to retreat, they were broken to a point that a long period of time would be needed before they would become a blight against the Imperium again.
