The Night of the Terror Worlds: In the Gorian sector, the end of the year 41 999 saw the light of the Astronomican being cut off a little before the creation of the Cicatrix Maledictum. For a moment, the Golden Rift disappeared completely. Thousands of worlds were visited by cities of glass, gold, rust or flaked blood, inhabited by unspeakable horrors that marched from them and into the realms of men that were transfigured into these nightmarish civilisations. This event lasted for only mere hours before disappearing with the reappearance of the Light of the Astronomican and the Golden Rift. Still, sewers, hive underworlds or jungles and forests are haunted by escaped creatures from these nightmarish realms. Billions died during that night, and many parts of the affected cities never came back after the disappearance of this reality-bending infestation.
