Le Cordon de Kalemnar est assailli par une flotte inconnue de la race des Tyrannides. Une force d'interdiction menée par les chapitres des Raptor et des Stone Warden vient endiguer la menace mais des renforts en grande quantité sont distribuées vers le Cordon, réduisant encore une fois la capacité de l'Imperium de nuir aux efforts de l'Octet.

While the developing threat of the Octet was added the warmongering Drukhari cabal of the Crimson Tear, which was tasked with deadly raids upon the Soul-Stars that they were easily capable of navigating by virtue of their webway accesses, a new danger was spotted in the north-eastern border of the Gorian Protectorate.   The Kalemnar Cordon, occupied by inter-sector naval forces and mining operations charted by the Adeptus Mechanicus, suffered heavy assault from an unknown splinter fleet from the Tyranid race. Already starving and the Kalemnar Cordon devoid of biomass rich worlds, the Tyranid were slowed to a crawl by Astra Militarum garrisoned forces and their Mechanicum allies until a Raptors and Stone Warden joint task force arrived and boarded and destroyed the main bioships of the Tyranid invasion. While short, this unwelcome attack froze the Gorian High-command with the terrible possibility of a developing Tyranid Threat in the sector.
