Une révolution civile sous le leadership d'une figure messianique du nom de Martial Sanschagrin renverse le gouvernement du Commandeur Impérial Estrandov. Le Leadership des rebelles est ensuite décapité par une force jointe de l'Adeptus Arbites et des frères de bataille du chapitre des Stone Warden, menée par le Juge Jorn Thorian.

While an undead plague is ravaging the Andraxian Gulf without observable cause, the industrial World of Rakengrad was affected by rebellious thoughts as its government was accused of corruption and enslavement to xenos forces. It was later revealed that the communal revolution was led by none other than Alexel Septimus Gorich that organised and used heretical powers to exterminate the ruling elite and take over Rakengrad. A hunting cadre under Judge Jorn Thorian authority arrived with a squad of Stone Warden intercessors and a preccint’s worth of castigation teams and eliminated the head of most rebellious commanders but Alexel escaped the castigation process.
