Horn Valley
Horn Valley is located between the Silver Mountains and the Wall. It gets its name from the mountain called the Horn, the tallest peak of Leanor. The Horn is also the northern-most mountain of the Wall and is the most prominent peak near Horn Valley. The vale was formed by the river Vadion, the largest river of the area. The city of Leandor marks the western end of the vale, its eastern end is where the river Raelion feeds into the Vadion.
Horn Valley is characterized by the wide Vadion snaking through rolling hills, fields and forests with the Silver Mountains and the Wall rising on either side. It is commonly called Horn Valley, even though it is a very wide and open area between two mountain ranges, making it more of a vale than a valley. It is home to nearly all plants and animals known in Leanor.
People visiting it have described it as a place with beautiful landscapes and rich history. Many beautiful towns and stunning castles can be visited there, including several acadean guard posts from the time when Lupear was part of the Acadean Empire and Eleonis was not. There are few places in which the rich history of Leanor is as apparent as in Horn Valley.
Horn Valley is the only place in which the neighbouring kingdoms of Lupear and Eleonis are not separated by mountains dictating the location of the border. As a result, the border there has shifted many times in the early days of the kingdoms. The eleonian side had been held by House Leandos of Horn Valley since before the founding of the kingdoms. Their lordships size subsequently often changed.
After the Great War, the last members of the family perished and Horn Valley went uninherited, so it was evenly split between Eleonis and Lupear. With the now friendly diplomatic relationship between the two kingdoms, this agreement has since held uncontestedly.
