Silver is a material with many properties and uses. In Leanor, it is most commonly found and mined in the Silver Mountains, which nowadays mostly belong to eleonian and lupean territory with some parts reaching into Urtheon and Baitha. Some is also found in the Wall and the South Mountains. Most of the silver resources are located in Eleonis. Since silver coins are the base of the leanorian kingdoms' financial system, this makes Eleonis one of the richer kingdoms.

The mining of silver is a very demanding profession with many health hazards and other risks connected to it, but the profession is essential for the economy of Leanor. The miners have a very high social standing in their communities because of this. Even despite the danger, becoming a miner is a popular choice, as it is rather well payed. Other professions connected to the silver are silversmith and coinmaker, also very important and responsible jobs.

Art pieces and items of daily use can also be made from the silver and are commonly produced in the villages of the Silver Mountains. If those pieces were made in Eleonis, they are referred to as Eleonian Silver, which is considered a mark of excellent quality. To make sure that a piece is indeed Eleonian Silver, every piece is required to bear a maker's mark to verify its origin. Aside from the Dragonsteel produced in the same region, silver pieces are among the most exported products from Eleonis.

Since the silver is used for currency and as an exportable good, it provides political and economic power and influence to those with money as well as those who produce, sell and own items made from it, especially those declared as Eleonian Silver. Therefore, while it doesn't provide fuel, silver definitely provides power to those who own it.
