Ak'tezkhet

The entity most commonly referred to as the Mother of Murder is a powerful demon by the name of Ak'teshkhet. She commands a legion of demonic warriors known as the Cohort of Malign Intent. Her purview concerns acts of premeditated violence generally, and murder particularly; she is especially interested in coldly calculated killings performed for gain, and in long-planned acts of violent revenge. It is said that she becomes aware of every time that a mortal deliberately takes the life of another with the intent of benefiting from that death, and that enemies slain in her name are her preferred offering.
She is typically depicted as a veiled woman with four goat-like horns, her hands and feet ever dripping with blood. Those blessed with her power can often be identified by the bloodied footprints that they leave wherever they go - though in most cases these are etheric in nature, only visible through certain forms of magical sight. She is said to be particularly a patron of assassins, and grants those who serve her blessings that might include the ability to pass unseen, to inflict deadly wounds, and to render food and drink poisonous with their touch, whilst being immune to the effects of such poisons themselves.

Cults and Worshippers

In the time of Vash Ossai, the principle cult of the Mother of Murder was known as the Black Chalice; they are said to have been a notorious society of assassins that practiced a form of blood magic which involved drinking the blood of those that they killed in order to learn their memories. It is unknown if the Black Chalice persists into the modern era.
