Elnaril Galvan
(a.k.a. the Willow-Bound King)
Elnaril Galvan was an elven chronurge from Terianis, who was sent to the Empire of Kataris as an ambassador to the Basilisk Queens.
Galvan is believed to have been the one who was ultimately responsible for the victory of the Katari Empire over the Dyarchy of Laria, though his precise role in that war is unclear. He was also said to have masterminded the creation of the Snare of Kythos, through the murder of the dragon Sorahylon - indeed, it appears that Morkatherit considered this a far graver crime than the downfall of Laria.
Following this, he was offered many great rewards by the Lunar Council of Terianis, but despite these acclaims did not feel that his achievements had been properly recognised. This led to him betraying first the Teriani, and later the Basilisk Queens, when he became a spirit-emissary of Tzumeqiel and devoted his life to bringing about the end of time in order that the universe might be remade, with him ruling it at Tzumeqiel's right hand. These betrayals brought him little benefit, however, as he was eventually out-manouvered by the Basilisk Queens and imprisoned in a hollow tree within a secluded part of the Shattered Forest.
Galvan was eventually freed from his imprisonment in 1344AK by a party of adventurers who sought his aid in reestablishing the Sylvan Nexus of Lith Kala; however having learned of his apocalyptic intentions the adventurers confronted him, and, with the aid of the ancient dragon Morkatherit, were able to kill him and seize his power. His soul was then destroyed by Morkatherit.
