Sandethran is a Teriani exile living in the city of Cameri, where he works as a herbalist and trader in alchemical goods.
He is understood to have been involved in the failed attempt of the Eclipse Council to overthrow the rulers of Terianis in 1144, and was responsible for the trapping of the soul of the necromancer Hereshanniel Gaetha in a warded jar, currently stored in the vault of House Zaal below the Ducal Palace of Cameri.
