Dyrax and Thazma.

11 Nightal, The Year of Twelve Warnings (1494 DR)   Day 59 of 79   Ruins of Omu, Jungles of Chult     After surviving an encounter with a yuan-ti raiding party, Zartan leads Bolte and Atwix back to the others to find two red wizards and their mercenaries, both living and undead, attacking their fellow adventurers.
Zartan led Bolte and Atwix back to the others as quickly as he could.   When they reached the ruins where they encountered the tabaxi hunter, Bag of Nails, they saw over a dozen figures on the ancient road, at the base of the ruins where Alice, Orvex, and Nip'hto were.   By the looks of it and from what they heard, the others were part of the group of Red Wizards who had entered Omu a few days ago. Two Red Wizards introduced themselves as Dyrax, a male Red Wizard, and Thezma, a female Red Wizard.   Both tried to convince Nip'hto, Alice, and Orvex to surrender. They said they also wanted the puzzle cubes, they suspected the adventurers had in their possessions. They added that Zagmira, their leader, would spare their lives if they handed over the puzzle cubes.   To emphasize their point, they reminded the three in the ruins that they were sorely outnumbered.   The two Red Wizards had brought with them several mercenaries and nearly a dozen skeletons dressed in ancient leather and armed with various assorted weapons, including short bows. By the looks of it, the Red Wizards had created the skeletons out of any dead humanoid they came across in the jungle and in the many ruins within the ancient city of Omu.     ***     Bolte, Atwix, and Zartan crept as close to the Red Wizards as they could.   When they were within range, Bolte shot at the female Red Wizard, Thezma.   Soon the battle was on!   Surprised by Bolte, Atwix, and Zartan, the two Red Wizards didn't survive the first volley of arrows that pierced them where they stood.   Three mercenaries, made invisible by the Red Wizards, had managed to reach the upper ruins where Nip'hto, along with Alice and Orvex were.   The mercenaries made good use of being invisible, launching range attacks at Nip'hto and Alice. However, the invisibility spell soon wore off. When that happened, the ranger and cleric were upon them. One died while two surrendered.   The other mercenaries had been slain in the battle.   Without the Red Wizards who created them, the skeletons simply stood still awaiting orders that would never come.   Alice used her divine ability to turn undead, causing all the skeletons to flee into the surrounding ruins. She preferred to destroy all undead she came upon, but Alice decided to let them go.   The two mercenaries were questioned then released with only a dagger each to protect themselves against the dangers of Chult.   From the mercenaries, the group learned that the two remaining Red Wizards, Zagmira and Yamoch, had taken a small group of mercenaries to the northern part of Omu. There, they hoped to find the remaining puzzle cubes they needed to unlock the Tomb of the Nine Gods.   However, according to Zagmira, the yuan-ti leader Ras Nsi has in his possession one of the puzzle cubes. Zagmira had planned for all of the Red Wizards to find the other eight puzzle cubes and then confront Ras Nsi to obtain the final cube.   Zagmira believed Ras Nsi and the other yuan-ti may be found in the Fane of the Night Serpent located under the ruins of the palace, in the center of Omu. She believed the Fane of the Night Serpent was built as a temple by the yuan-ti to honor their apocalyptic god known as Dendar the Night Serpent.   The adventurers decided to rest for an hour to eat and recover before leaving to look for Zagmira and Yamoch.
