Thargrin Oakenmaul
Thargrin Oakenmaul hails from the rugged northern lands of the Vast, where his clan, the Oakenmauls, has long been known for their mastery of stone and steel. As a seasoned fighter and the eldest son of the clan’s bladewarden, Thargrin was no stranger to battle. He fought in countless skirmishes defending his people from marauding orcs and goblins, honing his fighting skills with his favored weapon, Duskreaver, an enchanted glaive given to him by his father. His loyalty to clan and kin was unwavering, and that loyalty was put to the test when his childhood friend and fellow clans-dwarf, Bravus Boulderborn, a devoted priest of Moradin, was sent to Chult to end the Death Curse but has since mysteriously vanished.
Bravus was no ordinary priest—he was the son of the clan's Forgepriest, the spiritual heart of their clan. When months passed with no word from Bravus, the Oakenmauls feared the worst. The Forgepriest, too old to travel, entrusted Thargrin with a sacred mission: journey to the distant, dangerous jungles of Chult, uncover the fate of Bravus, and if possible, bring him home. Thargrin, determined to fulfill this duty, left the safety of the mountains for the perilous unknown, steeling himself for the deadly jungles and the mysteries they held.
