Session 28: Beyond the Spiderstalking Caverns

General Summary

Opened tomb to find a small curious skull of brilliant blue crystal feels far too light and fragile to exist. Somehow the thin gems have been woven into a human sized piece of art resembling the skull of a Sapphire Dragon. You can’t resist a testing squeeze, and it proves sturdier than you expected. You are certain you could crush it with one hand, but it seems safe from accidental destruction.   Returned back to Kharadad for a long rest & a bit of shopping   Back into the Spiderstalking Caverns and found more tombs; but these had been plundered and somewhat destroyed   Climbed/descended a shaft filled with gross larvae that turned Atalanta and Morthos against the party through hallucinations.     Escaped a rolling stone trap and made their way into Bleucorundum's Lair.   You shield your eyes from the brightness of the vast and glittering cavern before you. In the light, many of their scales glitter and shine with luminous starburst images.   A calm voice from within each individuals mind called out to them, “I have watched as you’ve made your way through my halls where many others have fallen. Both the brave souls of adventures seeking fame and fortune as well as foolhardy thieves, discovering nothing but a fruitless end. I ask you now, which one shall I consider you?”   Bulwark stated that the party was there in effort to save a friend. The Sapphire Dragon, appearing sated by the answer then presented a challenge for the party...
