Session 68: Storming the Amphitheater

General Summary

Picked up in Chezzaran’s Lair with Bolivar still petrified from the Swavain Basilisk and Vel cursed. Zephyr was awoken by a loud rumbling sound and soon thereafter found that Hekaton had killed the Swavain Basilisk. Decided to Teleport back to the Maelstrom to re-up on supplies and try to convince Countess Sansuri to help them by installing the Navigation Orb onto one of the stone ships (successful) Imperator Uthor was too injured to join them after the fight with Chezzaran. Teleported back to Ascore with King Hekaton, Countess Sansuri, and Handmaiden Louisa via the Meditation Cave within the Maelstrom. Was able to install the Navigation Orb onto the ship. During the floating stone ship boat ride to Iymrith's Lair you learned the following from Countess Sansuri:

You are under instruction that Countess Sansuri cannot die because of the information she knows; King Hekaton also wishes to see her stand trial for her crimes against humanity. When you arrived to Iymrith's Lair you decided to crash land the ship into the Amphitheater itself; taking out a large bulk of the Gargoyles patiently waiting. The party jumped off the ship just before crashing into the amphitheater and managed to enter a smaller side tunnel, venturing down into the chambers below; leaving King Hekaton, Handmaiden Louisa, and Countess Sansuri to fend off the gargoyles above. There in the initial chambers you battled a cult of yaun-ti in the middle of a ritual. At the end of the ritual you were ambushed by Iymrith.
