Malevolent: Proselyte

The proselyte is the backbone and true terror of the malevolent army. They were given their names in the second era because these were the forms that the plague exclusively converted from the corpses of the religious firstborn knights. Scholars in ancient magic believe that whatever factor in the body that causes one to be able to invoke, somehow causes the plague to morph their corpses to this unique form. 
Just like their uncorrupted counterparts, proselytes are superior in ability to other malevolent. They posses superior strength, combat ability and even intelligence in contrast to their malevolent kin. Just like invokers, the powers of each proselyte are unique and vary depending on the individual. Many of them are muscular with the strength of twenty men and fully clad in plate armor, yet others can be slender in form and command the ability to call down lightning from above. 
The true threat of the proselyte is not from their immense physical and invoking strength but the ominous ability to command and organize the other malevolent. On their own, malevolent predators, visionaries and ravagers are no more intellectually advanced than rabid dogs. But for unexplained reasons, the proselyte can form up the other malevolent and enact military grade assaults on settlements.
