History
The Kingdom of the Cornovii was founded at the split of the Cornovii and the Dumnoni, and included both what is now Cameliard and Oroquellenes.
Cameliard is the successor to this kingdom, founded by the elder uncle of King Ysgarran, who decided to remain in their homeland when Cornovii was sent to reconquer the southern part of Britannia from the Irish. The Kingdom of Cameliard was founded here, a land only consisting of the forest-covered lowlands.
Leodegrance's grandfather was killed in the night of Long Knives, and Leodegrance was sent to Brittany along with many other. He grew up in Cornouailles, squiring and learning the ways of the knight, and when old King Llywelyn the Lion died in 484 as a staunch ally of King Uther, he was eager to return to his homeland with the Bretonized knights that had sworn to him. He became a King at the age of 24, one of the youngest in Britannia.
Since, the people of Cornouailles interwed with the pagan people of Cameliard, adopting the old ways as the woods and the Other Side were a large factor in their life. Some even say that Leodegrance himself had the blood of the otherworld in him, and many knew that the young king only had eyes for another such fae lady.
Cameliard became a strong ally of Uther's Logres, and managed to claim suzerainity over Pase, Cheshire and Amans before the Anarchy erupted. These days, they're warding off the invaders from the disparate Logrean factions.
