The Deadlands
The Deadlands are a dark place. No one knows what lives there, the few that try to find out don't return. Even the strongest orcs refuse to enter. Not because they fear for their life, but their afterlife as well. They fear their soul will be tortured even after it enters the next realm. These deadlands are growing every day. A river that once fed into the ocean to the south now simply stops at the edge of the Deadlands. Nothing grows there. The wildlife dares not enter. Even the insect life seems to bounce off its edge. Whatever is in those Deadlands doesn't want to be found. None have claimed it, as any who enter are never seen again.
Geography
The Deadlands mostly consist of flat, dirt plains. Ther are massive stone pillars, and plateaus that pop out of the emptiness.
Ecosystem
There is no life here. The wildlife dares not enter this wasteland. Even the insect life bounces off its edge. Nothing grows here, and anyone who enters, does not come out.
Localized Phenomena
The strangest thing that happens here is that nothing happens here. Regardless of the surrounding woods, this place stays at room temperature. Even during a Doom Cage, wind does not blow here. During even the coldest winter months, snow does not fall, and ice does not form. This is no nonmagical phenomenon. Whatever is causing this must have a dark origin.
Climate
Rain does not fall here, winds do not blow, the sun rarely shines, even during the winter months, snow does not touch these plains.
History
The first one to enter this dark plain was Kainox the Undying. He claimed that the dark forces that made this world gave him purpose. Since then, the orcs have gained access to an evil metal they've called Doom Steel.
