Oyshi, Cleric of Obad-Hai

Oyshi on D&D Beyond: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/124729928
Oyshi was hatched in the mystical lands southeast of the Baklunish territories, where the sky blazed with colorful sunsets and ancient magic flowed. He was discovered as a hatchling by a pair of intrepid adventurers who saw potential and mystery in the shimmering, scaled orb. These adventurers, a human fighter named Liora and a half-elf cleric of Obad-Hai named Kael, adopted the chubby hatchling, naming him Oyshi after a legendary dragon with a peculiar appetite from their homeland. Raised with a love for food and adventure, Oyshi’s early life was filled with his parents' tales of far-off lands, daring quests, and the warmth of a family that valued bravery, good food, and compassion above all else.   When Liora and Kael decided to settle in Greyhawk, they channeled their shared passion for cooking into opening a tavern. The establishment quickly became renowned not only for its delectable dishes but also for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Oyshi, eager to contribute, apprenticed under his parents, learning the delicate balance of spices, the art of creating the perfect sauce, and the joy of creating meals that brought people together. His natural dragonborn resilience and keen sense of taste made him an exceptional chef, and he took immense pride in continuing his parents' legacy of culinary excellence by eventually opening his own tavern in another district of Greyhawk.   However, Oyshi's dreams of running his own successful tavern took a harsh turn when his business partner, someone he had trusted implicitly, betrayed him, siphoning off the tavern’s profits and leaving Oyshi to face financial ruin. Stripped of his livelihood and reeling from the betrayal, Oyshi found himself at a crossroads. Drawing strength from his parents' adventurous spirit, he decided to leave behind the familiar comfort of the kitchen and embrace a new path as a cleric of Obad-Hai, like his father. With a heavy heart but a renewed determination, Oyshi set out as an adventurer, seeking to reclaim his lost fortune and discover new lands and recipes and, perhaps along the way, find a place where he could once again create a haven of culinary delight.
