Voren Darkveil
Voren Darkveil was born in the remote village of Thalra, nestled deep within the shadowy recesses of the Blackwood Forest. The village was known for its grim history, plagued by tales of death and darkness. From a young age, Voren was different from the other children. While they played and laughed, he was drawn to the shadows, often found in contemplation at the village's ancient graveyard.
His parents, simple farmers, were perplexed by his unusual demeanor but loved him dearly. They sought guidance from the village elder, who recognized the signs of an ancient prophecy. Voren was destined to walk the path of the Long Death, an order of monks who embraced the inevitability of death, seeking to understand and master its mysteries.
At the age of ten, Voren was taken under the wing of Master Sareth, the last remaining monk of the Way of the Long Death in the region. Master Sareth trained him in the art of harnessing the power of death, teaching him that death was not an end but a transition. Voren learned to channel the fear of death into a source of strength, becoming a formidable monk with a deep understanding of life’s ultimate truth.
Years of rigorous training honed Voren into a disciplined and powerful monk. His mastery over the forces of life and death grew, earning him the respect and fear of those who knew of his order. Despite his dark path, Voren was not devoid of compassion. He used his abilities to protect the weak and confront the evils that preyed upon the innocent.
One fateful night, a rift opened in the sky above Blackwood Forest, tearing through the fabric of reality itself. Voren found himself drawn to the strange portal, sensing an otherworldly pull. Without hesitation, he entered an interdimensional inn, a mysterious place serving as a crossroads for adventurers from countless realms.
