Silver is sufficient.— someone in a comment section somewhere, I think
Normally this is the time of year I would start considering Camp NaNoWriMo, but since I don't have enough of an idea to write anything this year, I'm giving WA Summer Camp a try instead! Hopefully through the worldbuilding process I'll be able to get a better grip on the story I'd like to write next.
Question time
Q1. WHICH PROJECT ARE YOUR WORLDBUILDING EFFORTS TIED TO?
For NaNoWriMo this year, I'm hoping to write a sequel/side-novel to one that I've already written, following the adventures of Justyne Canmore (cousin of previous protagonist Breydon Canmore) as she leaves home to follow her passions. A lot of worldbuilding is obviously shared from the last novel, but since it takes place in a different part of the world, there's some holes that need filling.
Q2. WHICH WORLD ARE YOU WORKING ON?
I'll be working on my one and only Leland Peninsula.
Q3. WHICH AREA OF THE WORLD(S) ARE YOU WORKING ON?
In order to write this novel, I will need to better flesh out Cesland, specifically southern Cesland which will be the setting for the novel. Given that Justyne's love interest will be from Cosonia, I'll need to do some worldbuilding there as well. I would also like to finish developing Irocra based on worldbuilding from the previous novel.
Q4. HOW MUCH ARE YOU AIMING TO COMPLETE?
I would love to say all 31 prompts, but my real goal is 20. Silver badge, here I come.
Q5. WHEN WILL YOU WRITE?
Mostly after work in the wee hours of the morning. That's the time I've always had the most motivation for any kind of writing I'm doing. If I'm particularly inspired, during breaks at work as well.
Q6. WHO IS YOUR SUPPORT NETWORK?
This is something I need to work on in general as I don't really have a support network. For now, I'll just say my cat, Moko, who is more than willing to let me know when I've been spending too much time writing and not enough time paying attention to her. But hopefully I'll discover a community or stream or something that I can look to.
(Finally) Organizing My Worldbuilding
Categorization (aka pics or it didn't happen)
My organization, or lack thereof, has been driving me nuts since I got back into worldbuilding. I've been threatening to get my categories better aligned with how development has been going, so I'm glad to have Week 2 homework to finally make me do it. I went from having a dozen or more completely uncategorized articles with no logical place to put them and so many more that were sorted into obsolete categories to a streamlined organization system that will hopefully work for the long haul. Characters are further organized, but there are too many sub-categories for it to fit nicely here.

Week 2 Reflection
This week's homework has been extremely helpful. Not only did I accomplish something that I've been meaning to do (organizing my articles and designing Lace Twine's campus), but I also discovered new resources for images and inspiration. Having not done much in the way of aesthetics on my articles before, I also enjoyed getting to play with the layout design of my
Generic Article Design and learning some of the magic of BBcode and WA's features. I'm now itching to go through my existing articles and straighten them up. Last week was nice to get my intentions on paper (or computer screen, I guess), but this week has me really excited for Camp.
