    Illati gave birth to Lemuria and the universe around it from one of her tears, that much is agreed upon. Scholars regularly point at this point as the beginning of recorded history. Geological and natural history, naturally, dates back far further--though it is largely ignored by the more devout.

    As claimed by her kin and herself, Verchelen was born at or before the dawn of Illati's creation.

    Elemental Discovery
    Technological achievement

    Humanity discovers the existence of elemental energy and that it can be manipulated. The first four elements to be used in such manipulation, or magic, are water, fire, earth and air. Over time, more elements are discovered, leading to the fourteen that are known of today.

    Adnati is Founded
    Founding

    Approximate date. The city-state of Adnati begins to develop along the banks of the Northern and Southern Snakes. These rivers provide sufficient means to begin transition from a nomadic to seditary agricultural society, which would spread in the coming years throughout Lemuria.

    The Cult of Illati is Formed
    Religious event

    The first written mentions of Illati are estimated to be from this time period. Originally a solitary goddess of light and all creation, the pantheon would be expanded to four children dietes and eight saints.

    Ninurta and Damqis enter written record
    Religious event

    The first mentions of Ninurta and Damqis, seperately, are recorded around this time.   The ancestors of the Quatrallo civilization began to worship a goddess of earthly creation, Ninurta. She has noted similarities to Illati in the narrative told by these ancient peoples, but eventually evolves into her own distinct identity.   Damqis is first mentioned as a god of the night sky during this time in Morozin.

    Sharur enters written record
    Religious event

    Sharur first enters written record around this time. A mythological figure to the roaming tribes of the Dolorent, he communes with nature and is able to speak to the spirit of all beings thanks to a stone of many colors. Eventually, he is absorbed into the Cult of Light as one of Illati's children.

    The Cult of Illati begins to spread

    Sparked by a zealous leader of Adnati, the Cult of Illati begins to spread throughout the known realms of Lemuria. While she takes little hold originally, in the coming centuries, the absorbtion of other gods and figures into the pantheon leads to converts.

    Quatrallo is Founded
    Founding

    The precursor to Itria, the beginnings of Quatrallo are founded upon a floodplain to the east of Urummu's braid. It slowly spreads eastward along the coast, absorbing the region where Zarratire had settled, emerging from a massive cave system within the earth.    Mulki, the last of Illati's children, is first found in written record here. Eventually she would be co-opted into the Illatian religion as one of her children, but currently she is a diety of the seas and cycles of the twin moons.

    Origins of Alchemy
    Scientific achievement

    The origins of alchemy are first indicated to begin around this date the world over. Different cultures and tribes begin their own traditions of alchemy, but all agree that nature and existence is mandated by base elements.

    Ilati Reforms
    Religious event

    The Cult of Light undergoes major reforms around this date, including a restructuring of church leadership, and the first manuscript of the Durgu. Illatian as it is known as of this current date takes form.

    Phutu civilization emerges

    Though the exact date is unknown, the Phutu civilization begins to emerge around this time.

    Quatrallo Collapses
    Plague / Epidemic

    After a famine runs through the region, Quatrallo collapses as a nation and is left in turmoil. Civil war erupts throughout the region that lasts for a decade.

    Itria is Founded
    Military: War

    Quatrallo's Civil War ends, and a faction of Zarratire families emerge as the victors. The Colombera family becomes the ruling monarchy after a vote between the noble houses.

    Illatian becomes the state religion of Itria

    The Colombera dynasty announces that Illatian will be the official religion of Itria after countless missionary missions from Adnati.

    Adnati adops the Inheritance as the rite of succession for leadership.

    Grextin is Founded
    Founding

    Grextin, the capital of the Dolorent, is officially founded. The continent is divided into administrative districts for the first time.

    Saint Laefonn is born
    Life, Birth

    Saint Lafeonn is born approximately around this date, in Itria's Capitale. He would undertake a pilgrimage upon reaching adulthood to obtain knowledge.

    Saint Laefonn's Institute is Founded
    Life, Education

    Upon reaching an accord with the dragon Verchelen, Laefonn's Institute is founded within the Urummu's Braid mountain range. While self-sufficient at first, the Institute would eventually obtain financial backing from the Itrian government. Over the coming centuries, it would gain a reputation as the best institution for education in Lemuria.

    Saint Laefonn dies.

    Estimation. Wandering into the mountains, Saint Laefonn tells his remaining disciples to not search for him. He does not return, and Verchelen eventually conveys to the school that he had breathed his last breaths.

    Saint Laefonn is given Sainthood status.

    Thanks to his dedication of education, Laefonn is posthumorously given the status of sainthood by the Illatian church. He is the last of the eight saints.

    Itria's Royal Family Abdicates
    Political event

    The Colombera dynasty, the only Zarratiran dynasty within Itrian history, abdicates the throne and passes the crown to Gimondi dynasty due to concerns of interbreeding within the royal line.

    The Church Schism
    Political event

    The first king of the Gimondi family announces that the Illatian church will be splitting from Adnati. He wishes to be sure that the word of Illati and her children can be easily understood and accepted by the people, and claims that the seat of the church in Adnati is hiding true history.   During the following decades, the church sees major reforms, and a focus on Ninurta and Damqis.

    The Kingdom of Zhongjian is formed
    Political event

    A confederacy of nine kingdoms are allied together by Empress Liao of Luao Ai, becoming the kingdom of Zhongjian.

    The Saeid Insurrection

    Approximate date. Itria's church reforms state that as Saeid are chosen of Illati, they are to be closely monitored and dedicate their lives to the church. Many Saeid attempt to rebel against this but are subsequently killed or gone missing. This leads to the eventual current system in Itria, where Saeid are to live within a chapel or cathedral all their lives.    There is a small immigration wave of Saeid from Itria to Adnati during this time.

    The Asterjar arrive upon their Chariot

    The Asterjar arrive upon Lemuria using their comet that they refer to as a 'Chariot'. Made of celestial elemental imagery mimicking the stars, they take upon the appearance of nearby human farmers--the first to interact with them.   Itria forces the Asterjar to perform slave labor upon the realization that they appear to be 'immortal', their essence reforming upon percieved death.

    Grextin limits Illatian Missionaries
    Religious event

    After passionate Illatian missionaries from both Itria and Adnati cause issues for the people of the Dolorent, Grextin passes a series of reforms that limit missionary presence and power. Over the generations, Gextin gravitates away from the gods and towards the saints.

    Saheera al-Sahih is born.

    A middle child among many siblings, Saheera al-Sahih is born to the current Sultan of Adnati.

    King Primero the I is born in a royal family estate in the Itrian countryside.

    At the age of 17, King Primero ascends the throne after the death of his father.

    Sultana Saheera wins the Inheritance.

    After killing a dozen of her family members, Sultana Saheera wins the inheritance and takes the throne in Adnati.

    The Philosopher's Stone is first discovered.

    Found within the deepest refines of Mulki's Trash Heap, the Philosopher's Stone is found by a company of miners. After the stone is analyzed by the clergy and scholars, it is passed off to the royal treasury.

    The power of the Philosopher's Stone wanes.
    Expedition

    As the power of the stone is blessed upon King Primero's royal guard, it soon becomes obvious that its power is waning. Advised that others are likely to exist, King Primero begins to divert resources to discovering more, pushing upon agreed borders in the north and south, and eventually west.

    King Primero orders excavation of the Skiras Valley.
    Geological / environmental event

    After having little success in regions closer to home, King Primero demands that the search for a new Philosopher's Stone is done in the Skiras Valley. A region that is historically disputed by Adnati and Itria, Sultana Saheera soon objects and increases the military presence in the region.

    Skiras Accord
    Political event

    A tentative agreement is made between Adnati and Itria, creating a border in the Skiras Valley for King Primero to continue his excavations while not threatening Adnati soverignty.

    King Primero marries Luda of Morozin.
    Marriage

    In a move that causes gossip throughout the Capitale, King Primero marries the daughter of a noble chieftan in Morozin. Queen Luda is twenty years the king's junior and is described as 'pretty, but unremarkable otherwise' by many observers of the royal wedding.

    Princess Anastasia and Beatrice are born.

    King Primerio the I's only children are born, twin girls Anastasia and Beatrice. Their mother, Queen Luda, dies in childbirth. Thrown either into madness or gifted a divine revelation, King Primerio announces that the girls are the gods Ninurta and Damqis reborn and moves forward with separating from the mainstream Illatian church.

    Sultana Saheera condemns King Primero

    Sultana Saheera proclaims that King Primero's claim that his daughters are gods reborn is an affront to Illatian itself and an insult to any believer.

    King Primero the I delivers his usual new year's day speech in Capitale. In it, he indicates that he will follow the will of the gods that are now his children, and that their will is to 'reset the course' for Lemuria.

    The Shadows of Damqis Affair

    The Shadows of Damqis, a seperate cult of Damqis in Adnati, are hired by Queen Saheera to spy on King Primero and his daughters. While the goal for the time being is to gain information and be minor influencers, the plans soon change.

    Sultana Saheera's Misstep
    Life, Trauma/ Loss

    Upon hearing that King Primero is in fact taking advice from his infant daughters, Sultana Saheera demands that the Shadows of Damqis assassinate the king and his daughters in their sleep. The attempt is thwarted, and the captured assassins are tortured for weeks before they reveal the truth of the plot.

    Itria presence in the Skiras Valley expands.

    King Primero demands the Itrian military expand their presence in the Skiras valley. Asterjar slaves are brought in to help assist with mining and military control. Sultana Saheera requests that a political summit is held in Grextin, with Grextin acting as mediator to try and come to a peaceful resolution.

    The Gextin Peace Meetings
    Gathering / Conference

    Taking place over three months, representatives from Adnati and Itria meet in Grextin in an attempt to come to a peaceful agreement over the Skiras Valley. King Primero demands retribution for the attempted assassination of himself and his daughters, while Sultana Saheera advises her diplomats to deny any involvement.   The conference ends with King Primero stating that Sultana Saheera and her people will be wiped from Lemuria's existence, and he has the means to do so.

    Sultana Saheera's March
    Military: Skirmish

    Wishing to cut off King Primero before he strikes, Sultana Saheera rapidly expands Adnati's military and sends the bulk of it to Skiras Valley. The ultimate goal is to cut off Capitale in a blockade, believing that Grextin will aid them in this.    In reality, Grextin advises King Primero of Adnati's plans and he sends his best: the guard to the front lines. The battle carries on for three weeks in the valley, before it is finally ended by the use of the Philosopher's Stone.

    The Philosopher's War
    Military: War

    Lasting only three weeks, the Philosopher's War ends brutally with the Battle of Twin's Reckoning in the Skiras Valley. Adnati surrenders unconditionally to Itria.

    Adnati surrenders to Itria
    Political event

    Sultana Saheera is able to witness the carnage that the Philosopher Stone does to her people and land from a distance. She rapidly sends a missive to King Primero, requesting peace talks. King Primero sends back a missive that states her surrender would be unconditional, or she and Adnati would fall under complete rule of Itria. She agrees.    The unconditional surrender leads to strict restrictions on Adnati's economy, as they are forced to pay 'damages' for the war. In addition, the Sultana's children are forced to attend Saint Laefonn's once they come of age.    Sultana Saheera admits privately to one of her advisors that she feels like she is only buying time.

    The Asterjar are granted freedom

    In thanks for their service during the brief lived Philosopher's War, King Primero says that his two-year-old daughters wish for the Asterjar to be freed. They largely settle in a plot of Itrian land set aside for them known as Cliffhaven, though those with the souls of wanderers settle elsewhere.
