Ishtar
DOMAIN of Beauty, Life, and Nature
The Brismir goddess of Beauty, Life, and Nature after taking over the position from Echidna after her revolt. She is the goddess of Venus, as well as the goddess of fertility who brings prosperity to humanity. Also a former goddess of war and destruction, she once sent a terrifying divine beast called The Bull of Heaven into the city of Uruk. She's just a terrible nuisance of a goddess. She was also famous for having many lovers and would go after anyone she decided she liked, be they human or god. On the other hand, she was as cruel as the embodiment of evil to anyone who didn't do what she wanted. It's said that the reason she sent the Bull of Heaven to Earth was that the Human turned God, Gilgamesh, did not succumb to her temptations. Having mellowed out over the years she has learned to simply enjoy watching humans live their lives and the drama going on as a form of entertainment. Ishtar Champions Alignment: Usually good, often chaotic Suggested Classes: Bard, cleric, druid, ranger Suggested Cleric Domains: Life, Peace, Nature Suggested Backgrounds: Acolyte, charlatan, entertainer, Folk hero, hermit, outlander Most worshipers of Ishtar believe love is the strongest force in existence. They are guided by a sense of compassion and seek to inspire a similar creed in their fellow mortals. Other worshipers of Ishtar understand that all the concerns of mortal kind are nothing if they lack the sustenance to survive. No army can match the rampant destruction of a famine, so it is wise to keep the goddess of the harvest happy at all times. Ishtar Favor Despite the power she has at her fingertips, Ishtar is not a cruel deity. She selects champions who know to show her respect but has no interest in those looking to serve out of fear. Devotion to Ishtar Among many mortals, worship of Ishtar commonly focuses on their passions and desires.
